Working with Advisers

When the financial picture is clear,
but the conversation is complicated.

A founder sells the business they spent years building. The freedom is real. So is the question: what now?

A family plans for the next generation, but each conversation returns to familiar ground. A longstanding client raises something personal, and you sense there is more to understand.

North Star offers wealth advisers, private bankers and family office professionals a place to think through these situations with someone whose experience complements their own.

Your experience meets mine

You bring knowledge of your profession, your clients and the relationships you have built. I bring more than thirty years working with human relationships, meaning and change.

My experience includes helping established coaches navigate complex situations with individuals and families, particularly when familiar approaches no longer seem to help.

We begin with what you are noticing. What keeps returning? What feels important but difficult to put into words? Your own experience has a place here too—the responsibility you carry, the uncertainty you feel, or the question you have not yet found a way to ask.

Together, we explore what may be shaping the situation. The aim is something you can use: a clearer perspective, a useful question or a considered next step.

Learning that stays with you

There is room for curiosity as well as difficulty. Something you have read may prompt a different way of thinking about ambition, responsibility or what gives a life meaning.

We can follow that interest together. Where useful, I suggest ideas and reading suited to your questions. We connect them to your work and return to what you discover in practice.

That understanding becomes yours to carry forward—in how you listen, the questions you ask and your sense of when to act or give something time.

Over years, trusted advisers come to know the history, relationships and commitments that matter to a family. Deepening that understanding can strengthen continuity of trust while making room for new generations and changing aspirations.

A fresh perspective

Perhaps there is a conversation you keep returning to—or one that keeps returning to you.

Our first 90-minute conversation is offered without charge: space to explore it together and consider what another perspective might open.

The conversation has value in its own right. There is no obligation to continue and no expectation of referrals.

Further collaboration can include individual conversations, small team sessions or working alongside you with a client where everyone agrees. Scope and fees are agreed beforehand.

Client situations in reflective sessions are discussed without identifying details.
